I met Dr. Matthew in 2001. I was a type one diabetic from the age of 12. I was 42 years old when I met Dr. Matthew. My eyesight was pretty shot from type one diabetes. Blood pressure was high, and the kidneys were failing. In 2004 I received a call from a friend saying his son was hit over in Reading by a head on collision while he was on a bike. Great staff and brilliant doctor! Keeping me alive.
I have been a patient of Dr Mathew for close to 15 years. He and his staff have held my hand and walked me through my entire journey with Kidney disease and transplants. He is by far the best doctor in Humboldt County. We are lucky to have him. I call him 'The Wizard' because of his level of knowledge and skill as a specialist of Nephrology. I trust him with my life and he has never let me down.
