I’ve visited this store twice and been very uncomfortable both times. The owner is arrogant and manic. He makes assumptions about what kind of buyer you are and aggressively follows you around the store telling you about the “value” of each item. For example, my wife pointed to a chair and said “I really like that one” and he dismissively shouted “well that’s a [name of chair manufacturer] and you’d have to pay $800. “ We never discussed our price point so we were surprised at his aggressive tone. I recently moved to the Portland area and am so glad I found Red Snapper! From the moment I walked in I was impressed with the layout and selection as well as the welcoming vibe from Red Snapper's owner, Michael. I was in need of several key pieces of furniture and this place was absolutely invaluable in setting up my new home. Micheal’s store is a treasure chest of high quality vintage items and Micheal is a passionate encyclopedia of all things vintage.
