Headed down to baton Rouge and hurricane was getting ready to hit inland. We decided to stop for the night. ALL HOTELS JACKED UP THEIR PRICES. RIDICULOUS PRICE. This old motel was dirty, stink bad of cigarettes and weed. Furniture was old and broken down. Our room was way in the back of the building. Lots of semi trucks in the broken up parking lot as well.

I will never stay at a Red Roof Inn ever again. I was planning a 16-hour road trip, so we picked a spot halfway to take a quick power nap before continuing to our main hotel. Since we were leaving right after work, I knew it would be a very late arrival. I did some research beforehand, which suggested finding a place with a 24-hour front desk and calling ahead around 7 PM—the night of the stay—to let them know we’d be checking in late so the system wouldn't automatically cancel our room as a "no-show." Absolutely the worst place i have stayed. Only hotel that had vacancy we could find. Red Roof as a chain is normally not a bad choice, but this one was filthy, Roach infested, poorly maintained... upper management should consider taking their name off of this business.
