I would have given an excellent, but the cigarette and pot smell ruined it....and I'm a smoker! I don't think kids should be around that. People's lack of respect for smoking areas caught me off guard. ( cigarettes and pot). Overall enjoyable, that's my only complaint.
Amazing! Be prepared for some exercise though! Unlike any other venue I've been to. If you are parking- Be careful where you park; could add a long walk to the venue!
Red Rocks ROCKS! Not a bad seat in the house. Rows are wide enough that people moving by don't create a disruption like most venues. Wish they would lower the $8.00 plus beer price though.
The best venue ever. The scenery the city lights. The sound. Unbelievable!
I give this 4 stars, though in my heart it deserves 5. The venue has a 75 year history, and is a marvel when it comes to sound and lights. Most folks will hate the parking, the drink prices, and the select few concert goers who are inebriated. Still, a Red Rocks show is special. Even the band will acknowledge that. The raw concert amenities are perfect, the fit and finish of the whole operation needs polishing. For reference, I've seen three shows there this year, and I live in SE Nebraska.
Amazing place, amazing show!!! Rob Thomas and Counting Crows have never been better! The opening act, KPhilips, kicked the night off with a bang! Rob Thomas and KPhillips performed several songs with the Crows. Together they were even better! Awesome concert in the most amazing venue on the planet!
Having moved to CO from MA over 20 years ago, I've been to Red Rocks more times than I can count. :) Last night was the 3rd time I've been to a Ray LaMontagne show, two of the concerts having been at Red Rocks. Love, love, love the venue, the view, the ambience, and the atmosphere. Can't wait to go again! :)
Once you go to a concert at Red Rocks all other venues won't live up. It's that amazing.
