Nice Mexican Gourmet restaurant Red Mesa located on 4th ST on the NE side of St Pete offers a nice sit down atmosphere and a good selection of ORIGINAL mexican dishes. However, the service can sometimes be lacking in my opinion. I've recently sat over 10 minutes without a refill. The food is great - but try and find a regular server and tip him/her well if you want to make this a regular spot.
Authentic Mexican cuisine I have eaten twice at the Red Mesa, both times were enjoyable. The house wine is good, and the selection of entrees for each course is impressive. Their portions are standard and their prices are moderate. Very authentic cuisine, reminicent of my trips to Mexico.
Worth the money We love Red Mesa. One of my favorites is the Chicken Fernandez. The chorizo fondue is so yummy! It's worth every calorie! We have always had an excellent meal here and the service is good too. It's worth every penny for a nice evening out!
THE BEST UPSCALE MEXICAN IN ST. PETE Gourmet Mexican restaurant in St. Pete that has an extensive Mexican menu, with anything from Filet Mignon Burritos to great cocktails and excellent sauces.
Excellent Food Red Mesa is a wonderful restaurant. It's nice atmosphere and wait staff are top of the line. Their Chef, Chris Fernandez, is one of the best. Excellent food at a modest price.
