I enrolled my 2 dogs (American Staffordshire Terriers) in a month long intensive training at instinct and sessions with their "dog behaviorist". After 2 and a half weeks of getting raving reports and videos of their progress Instinct abruptly cancelled and expelled the dogs from the school saying they are beyond help and can not be trained. We worked with Jessica over Zoom and it's been the best experience ever!! We were so lost when we got our puppy and were worried about not being able to have in person training but Jessica was so amazing walking us through how to train our puppy. She always answered every question we had over email and calmed us down when we would overthink things. And now we have such a good boy all thanks to Jessica! We can't wait to actually meet her and do even more training!
I took my dog Zeus here for a two week board and train while I started grad school because I thought he could benefit from the experience. Now he goes to their weekly day school and he L-O-V-E-S it. I never hear my dog bark the way he does when they come to open the door for us in the morning. I had worked with a previous trainer, He believed in prong collars& the result of that is my dog grew, prong collar did not& he needed surgery on his neck, I was Instinct recommended by our Vet, I met Maggie our trainer at the uptown locale, She is sensational. he needed to learn to walk gently on the leash& to know the loud noises would not hurt him, Maggie ws wonderful with him but really with me, She recommended I did the work following her example, Zane got excited when we walked into the facility& loves her& his experie... read more
We are thrilled with our experience at Instinct. Casey (and all the staff) really got to know our pup, Ernie, and he learned a lot in his two weeks at camp. He now walks nicely on a leash, checks in with us regularly on and off leash and comes when called, even when he is distracted. We love Instinct's positive reinforcement approach and found the follow-up visits and exercises easy to understand and uphold.
