I was referred here by my doctor for anxiety and depression, I’ve been going for about a month and it’s been an amazing experience! The staff is very nice and welcoming and really makes you feel like you belong. Ive already referred multiple people here!
I asked my PCP for someone to help me cope with autistic burnout and senior housing. He referred me to Recovia. The intake interview seemed to go well enough but when I saw my intake notes I was horrified. No mention was made of autism or social services needs. Instead, the intake notes listed several misdiagnoses I'd received in the past and disclosed during the interview. Absolutely horrible experience. I went in to Recovia to establish care with a therapist and begin mental health counseling. They offered two different programs: Recovia, and ProjectMe. I was highly encouraged and recommended to try out the Recovia program, so I tried to approach it with an open mind. I've never done therapy before so I was open to seeing how the hell physical therapy could benefit me even though I'm not injured or going through a recovery process.
