For the first time and several doctors and endocrinologists later....after several med trials.... I am finally a happy patient! Thank you Dr Mattison- My long term hypothyroidism of 20 years, is now regulated. This doctor was open enough to treat my case individually, prescribing specifically to my body and it's sensitivities. I haven't felt this good in many years. As far as the negative reviews- i agree that she has a certain style, but i don't take it personal. Very knowledgeable doctor!
She was very helpful and very caring. We liked her a lot and would recommend her to anyone.
I've been going to Dr. Mattison for about 4 years. Every time I have tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. Even though every time I leave her office i am sick to my stomach and in tears of how I am treated.(I will save you on long drawn out story!) I have finally decided to be completely done. She is very impersonal and quite arrogant. Every thing she says is sharp and talking down on you. Please save yourself the trouble and go to a doctor who really cares about your needs.
Patients Beware: Both my daughter and I have been patients of Dr. Mattison for several years. She started out wonderful, but after I moved away, the new endocrine doc (NOT insurance, the doctor) wanted a referral from her and she refused to provide it. Dr. Mattison agreed to send records to the endocrinologist, but flat out refused to give a one-sentence referral. HUGE disappointment. Despite initial impressions, patient welfare is not a priority for Dr. Mattison.
I was a regular patient of Dr. Mattison for 4 years, 2009-2013. As a diabetic who chooses to be very active in my own treatment, I found Dr. Mattison to be an ideal partner in my care. She provided the information, feedback and recommendations I needed, while respecting the importance of my participation.
