My daughter and I showed up to see someone named Cathy and it immediately felt like we got on her nerves, no explanation as to why she needed to talk with an associate about steps to move forward in the process and not even a call back. I would not recommend this place. I do not know why she did not want to see us and just made us feel unwanted. That is not ever counseling should be about, I see why some people do not want to get help because of experiences like this. Please do better.
I would not recommend using J&A. J&A does not have the best interest of your child. If they feel one parent is better than the other, despite evidence to contrary, they will collude against you, make appointment behind your back and have sessions with child and one parent but not the other. They will only contact the parent they feel is aligned with their agenda. There is absolutely no accountability. I recommend another counseling organization. You have been warned.
Sonya is absolutely amazing! She has been a huge factor in my 16yr old daughter’s mental health glow up! I cannot sing this woman’s praises enough!
I had a very negative experience. Kylie was great at answering my questions and getting things set up but once I was assigned to Clarence the warm fuzzy feeling went out the window. This guy couldn't remember his schedule to save his own life. We did phone meetings and I told him the only time that worked for me was EVERY OTHER THURSDAY. He'd call me on our off weeks and get annoyed when I reminded him it was the wrong week. We'd schedule to talk at 2 and he'd call me at noon. We'd schedule noon and he'd call at 4. My counselor is Macie. She is the BEST counselor I ever had. She is kind, compassionate, caring and treats her clients like family. I always feel heard, understood and she gives the best advice. 20/10 stars for counseling services
