While the staff appeared attentive, I found that they did not have the specialized support services needed for minors experiencing assault-related trauma. My daughter and I showed up to see someone named Cathy and it immediately felt like we got on her nerves, no explanation as to why she needed to talk with an associate about steps to move forward in the process and not even a call back. I would not recommend this place. I do not know why she did not want to see us and just made us feel unwanted. That is not ever counseling should be about, I see why some people do not want to get help because of experiences like this. Please do better.

I would not recommend using J&A. J&A does not have the best interest of your child. If they feel one parent is better than the other, despite evidence to contrary, they will collude against you, make appointment behind your back and have sessions with child and one parent but not the other. They will only contact the parent they feel is aligned with their agenda. There is absolutely no accountability. I recommend another counseling organization. You have been warned.

Sonya is absolutely amazing! She has been a huge factor in my 16yr old daughter’s mental health glow up! I cannot sing this woman’s praises enough!
