I don't know what happened to this practice I used to absolutely love it and recommend it but boy did my opinion change. I have 3 children ages 21, 19 and 17. My 17 needed a shot for his Senior year Reading Peds could not accommodate the time table so we had to take him to a shot clinic. We cancelled his appointment. So fast forward to a few weeks later we need a physical for a driver's license we were told we owe $35 for a no show. Both my husband and myself tried to call and question it. Dr. Hubbard is wonderful. Warm hearted thorough and I sooo very much appreciate his patience and understanding and personal phone calls. I am very lucky to have him as a Pediatrician for my children.
My children were patients of this practice for over 10 years and only because we trusted our doctor, not the practice. They consider you a number, one of their 50,000 patients, and certainly not a person; they cram in as many people as possible instead of properly reviewing your family medical history and taking the time to treat you during your appointment. Ridiculous that I can never get a human being on the phone EVER! I tried every option and it always goes to voicemail. God forbid someone has a question they need answered within the same day. This practice has a very poor phone system.
I love this office! I have 5 kids and anytime there was issue day or night, weekday or weekend they were there. When my daughter hit her head and blood was everywhere they took me right in. They are closer then an ER and much better care. My child didn't even cry when a Doctor cleaned n glued it shut and she is 3 years old. I've been to other doctors and this practice is truly the BEST! On call 365!!!!!
Terrible way to tray a long time customer of their services for our kids. We have to take our youngest away from the practice because she has type 1 diabetes and the office doesn't accept our secondary insurance. So, they browbeat my wife saying they won't take our other 2 kids because they want to treat the whole family.! My wife is in tears trying to make things work and the office manager wants her to spend more time trying to get our Insurances to work with them! Love this place. Great doctors and caring staff too. I use to come here when I was born and now all 3 of my children do.
I totally recommend Reading Pediatrics! We always receive excellent care. My children totally adore Dr Watson. She truly loves children
