My experience has been a homeowner's nightmare. I was sold a fully renovated home with a finished basement and began having problems with the plumbing after living in the home for two weeks. The fact that there was no connection from the home sewer line to the city sewer line was not disclosed. The old, broken, cast iron sewer clean out was buried under concrete in the basement floor.
