Best in the area! – We eat a business lunch at Raz'z every couple of weeks. We are always seated promptly, and have great service. Raz often makes a visit to the tables. The gumbo is great and the portions are generous. Everything I have tried has been tasty. I highly recommend it if you are in the area.
Our favorite restraunt ever – Great food with a great atmosphere. Friendly staff. We bring all of our family members here when they visit.
Needs to do homework on Cajun cuisine – When I pay good money for Shrimp Etouffee, I expect the etouffee. What was served to me was the same gumbo, I had just finished, with a few crawfish added, and served over rice. The gumbo, itself was salty and thick. Gumbo should be smooth, with a good, dark roux, good stock, and andouille, both providing a nice smokey flavor. Not recommended for holiday parties – This review pertains to their new Smyrna location. Since I live in that area, I've eaten at this location about a dozen times and I looked forward to having my office staff out for a holiday meal. Unfortunately, the good service that I had always received during my visits was nowhere to be found during our holiday meal. Great food and great ambience – I love this place! I love the variety of selection on the menu and I love the creole flare along with the great jazz music in the background. You feel right at home when Razz himself comes by and asks how everything is and tells you how much he appreciates you coming in...Absolutely the best Gumbo in Nashville and now Smyrna!
Felt like a regular, higher-class but still down to earth – From the moment I walked in, I felt as if I were part owner of the place. Great energy from the staff (at 9pm on a Monday, mind you). Everyone was glad I was there, salad was fresh and tasty.. my chicken fingers and my date's chicken sandwich were both wonderful. Fries had a nice seasoning. Best Restaurant I've Ever Been To!!!!!!!!! – I recently came to Nashville to take my Daughter who recently turned 18 years old out to celebrate her birthday and I told her I would take her anywhere she wanted to go. 1st time... but not the last!!! – The food was great... you can look to spend anywhere from $10 & up per person and it is well worth it. I had the teriyaki chicken which was great with what I would say is probably the best smashed potatoes I've had. My fiance is vegitarian so we were worried he may not find something he could eat but the vegitable menu had great variety and he was well satisfied.
