Dr. Tan has been my son's psychiatrist for 6 years. During that time, my son has assaulted me physically multiple times. He went to different facilities, he went to Juvenile Detention, and later he ended up in a psychiatric residential. Dr. Tan always tried to encourage him coping skill, which he never took seriously. Dr Tan has been my son doctor since they were small. Now they are grown and still see him. He is attentive, listens to my son's concerns, and he listens to us all and then explains everything clearly and always spends the time with them. It never feels rushed.
My brother was told by Dr. Tan that he could take mushrooms (the drug!) for his depression if his current medication wasn't working, which is insane and highly unprofessional. He is arrogant and talks about himself more than his patients or their problems, and I'm glad he's moving out of my city.
