Very slow service and the food was lacking in all categories. We had a local soup that was Butternut squash. They don't grow butternut squash around here. Also had a BLT made out of pork belly and chutney. It was pitiful. Sorry for this poor review but it is true.
Absolutely hands down one of the best in the area! The atmosphere is perfect. . (Baby grand playing at dinner) and service is top notch. Great selection of cocktails & wine. Food is exceptional. The architecture is stunning if you love historical sites. One of my favorite places. You won't be disappointed.

I eat out over 300 days a year and in many different restaurants across the East Coast. The Rawls is an unusually good fine dining restaurant for being situated in such a small town, and their wines are excellent. The only comparable chef in the area runs the casual atmosphere Frogz restaurant (and he used to cook at Rawls).
