Delicious, fresh, local food and wonderful people.
We ate there on a Friday ballgame night in Oxford, busy. It was one of the finest meals I've ever had, and I've had a lot. Every course was spot on, fresh, falvorful, and local. Portions were generous, the wine is nice and reasonable. The hard work and attention to detail shows. The rack of lamb made feel like a viking. The creme brulee was the best I've ever had, and boy have I had a lot of creme brulee, which is English for flan. Thanks Joel and family, and staff.
The food was wonderful and the service spot on. We had the scallops, sliders, steak, lamb, creme Brulee, ice cream sandwich, and pudding. All was amazing. The only thing I really dinged it for was the noise. It was busy with a big party in the small L shaped room we were in but there is nothing to dampen the noise so we were having to yell across our 4 top at each other. That room makes a large group VERY loud.
I didn't think I could be so pleased with a restaurant experience. Ravine blew me away from the moment I walked in. Jonathan is an incredible server, he was helpful & personable way beyond my expectations. We will definitely be back.
