I have had a horrible experience with Dr. Rao. I went to my first appointment where she came up with a articulated plan for my anxiety and titration of medications to only have the entire plan changed 30 minutes after the visit and $500.00 later with out phone call that she was changing the plan only that she needed to see me again for another out of pocket visit. We took our 11 year old to Dr. Rao after his diagnosis of inattentive ADHD. We were indecisive about next steps , not sure what he needed and intending to interview a few child Psychologist in the area. Based on her website we believed her to be a doctor that would consider the whole child and his needs. Within the first 10 minutes of our meeting she was discussing prescription drug options with no regard to how he would respond or what he may have considered the intent for the meeting.
