I stayed here last summer with my husband and baby. Never again! The owner tried to scam us by saying the rates had changed (the manager said the rates never change). The place was filthy - we had to buy some bleach and scrub the bathroom before we could use it. The shower was covered in rust, dirt and paint chips and the towels were a disgusting grey color. There was a stench that would not go away and the place was crawling with bugs. I put my baby on the floor and within minutes his legs were literally black with dirt. A/... read more

The accommodations and services at the Ranger Inn are horrendous. From sticky carpets that are stained with cigarette burns and vomit belonging to previous occupants, to black mold so pervasive that it will leave you with a headache upon opening the door. The denizens are a rough and sorted lot with no obvious ambition aside from standing at their motel door cigarette in hand. The fat manager has no idea what customer service means and she seems to have a very limited scope on her behavior towards guests who have no idea what... read more
I was a student coming to Maine to study for 1 month. They had good weekly rates and I thought this would be great vs. finding a apt for a month etc. Boy was I wrong. They promised me everything like internet, refridge, microwave. Those didnt exisit once I got there- oh wait they didn but a FEE. The internet was going to charge me every time I got online and for a per min rate- Totally not what owner emailed me when I reached out to them. After getting there and seeing all the lies I left. Says Family Business etc. Puts fami... read more
This place is terrible! More like a hole in the wall. SHould be shut down. I arrived and could tell the place was not right. Asked if I could see room. Was given a lecture on how that was not allowed as guest would pee in the rooms then not pay. Should have been my 1st clue it was a dump. The lady at the desk promised I wouldnt be disappointed and to said just check in. I did. OMG my wife looked in the room and we left. Back at the desk the lady didnt want to give us a refund (even though we didnt use the restroom) w/o a fig... read more
ITS A GOOD LOCATION. CHECK OTHER PLACES AS THEY MAY HAVE CLOSE TO THE SAME RATES. ROOM WAS HUMID. THERE WAS NO A/C , NO BIGGIE EVEN IN THE SUMMER. STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY THOUGH. STAINED CHAIR. FOR \$49 OR SO YOU CANT REALLY EXPECT A WHOLE LOT.
I dislike that our feet stuck to the floor. After this experience, we decided to sleep fully clothed and with our shoes on. Price point it was a good value, but we wont be staying another night at the Ranger Inn.
Great for anyone on a budget, that does not need any frills. It was a quite place and the front desk staff were very friendly. There were no extra pillows or blankets, but the bed was still comfortable. The location was just down the street from all the major hotels close to the airport. out of the way of downtown Bangor but they all are in that area. Close to a gas station, convience store and a Dunkin Donuts. If I was on a tight budget again while staying in Bangor I would stay there again.
My favorite experience while staying at the Ranger Inn was the friendliness of the staff. They were all very caring and motivated to make sure we had a wonderful time staying there. One evening I went to open a bottle of wine and I couldnt find the opener. I went to the front desk and the lady (I wish I could remember her name, she has long blond hair) looked for one but couldnt find one either. She then brought out a tool box and for around 5 to 10 minutes tried about everything using different tools to pull the cork out. A... read more
