I was quite apprehensive when I was advised to have cataract surgery in both eyes. I’m not the best patient and I have a couple of health issues. Dr Burks and his staff made the entire process simple. He and Marsha and Melissa made sure my wife and I understood everything that was going to be done and why it needed to be done. From the day we met with Dr. Burks, we knew we were in exceptional hands. If you find you need cataract surgery (and are a bit worried about - yikes! - messing with your eyes), this is where I suggest you go. Dr. Burks is kind, patient and thorough. Pre-op he explained EVERYTHING and, most importantly, didn't continue until he knew we understood. During the surgery, he explained every step of the procedure in a way that was easy to understand. Dr Burks (and most of his staff) are mean and unfriendly, he will probably talk down to you as he did me. I had my exam years ago but I will always remember his sadistic, ill demeanor. I absolutely think he should retire because it probably comes with age.
Amazing Dr Wouldn't Trust Anyone Else To care for my Eyes! That's all I have to say.
