i got sucked into the happy hour – Well I'm a linecook that's bounced around denver's fine dinning scene for a few years so when I went to get my lips wet at Randolph's the other night I was literally blown away. They were giving away a $1 menu and half off wine(wich is the best thing a line cook in denver could wish for) so I sat, drank and ordered some food.I got a lamb chop that was beautifully caramelized with a shallot marmalade and somesort of aged balsamic(that the pure vixen bartender new absolutely nothing about the a... read more
Terrible brunch; outrageous ripoff – We got there in time for our 2 pm brunch reservation, and were informed that all they had was seating in the bar, which was dark, crowded, and invested with those tiny-ass cocktail tables. I'm a big dude, and I wasn't about to park my big ol' behind at one of those postage-stamp sized tables, so I told the hostess that, despite our having a reservation, we would wait for something to open up in the main dining room. This really seemed to fluster her for some reason, but twenty minutes lat... read more
Great Food, Easy to get to and no crowd – I thought the food was excellent, so did my date. I have been eating all over town and there are only three restaurants that I will give 5 stars to. The food was excellent, the service was above average (they ended up not charging the corking fee when the manager offered to decant my wine and could not find a clean decanter). Overall, one of the best dining options in town. I recommend the tuna appetizer, it is the best tuna dish in town.
A Must – As the first dinner out for my wife after the birth of our twin boys three weeks prior, and my favorite sister being in town from Chicago, I clearly was looking for a great place to eat. This place certainly did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like royalty. The host, manager, busboy, and server all came by to assist us with our twin boys. (We had no idea you could flip over a highchair and prop them up on their car seats.) The food was amazing and they were perfect portions. Our... read more
if you are over 60 and have no taste buds.... – When we arrived... at prime time on a Saturday night there were only two other tables with people at them, both of the "elderly" crowd... the menu was extremely small, but I ordered the grouper and all I could taste was the extreme amount of pepper they put on it. If you want a fine dining experience I would NOT recommend this restaurant. If you are over 60 and have no sense of taste and like a completely silent and empty restaurant that charges you a fortune try this one.
good food – I came here for lunch on a weekday. The place was practically empty so you don't really need reservations. It was chilly the day that I went, but the patio area would be nice to sit at when the weather is nice. I had the angus burger which was pretty good. Prices are a little high here--you're definitely paying for the ambiance. Service was good.
I will be back for an other try! – As I am new in town and used to Swiss service standards, i was quiet impressed about the level of served food and quality of service.
Great Thanksgiving Dinner!!!! – A great day to have the perfect meal.....And it was!!!!! The service was perfect, the turkey was the best.... Better than momma used to make....Only bad thing is that I ordered a second bottle of wine and they didn't have it....Good thing is they gave us a complementary glass of their best instead.....Now that's class!!!!!
Worth another trip – I haven't been to Randolph's in over a year, and I was glad we came back! The dining room was beautiful and intimate, yet still airy and open. Our server was polite and seemed to know everything about wine (even though we don't). The best part was definetely the food. Every dish was fantastic, especially the angel food cake for dessert. The warm berries were delicious. We can't wait to come back.
