I was in the ER for extreme abdominal pain at Banner Baywood. After the crisis was treated and had passed, Dr Umar came in, listened, cared and suggested a way forward. I felt like he actually gave my condition some thought, through the chaos of an ER department, and cared. 5 stars.
I have been to Dr. Umar twice now and he is very efficient and his staff is friendly. They all work well together.
He is very knowledgeable and caring, he saved my life by discovering cancer in my colon before it could grow into something that would effect the rest of my body, got me to a great surgeon who removed the cancer, and I have been cancer free for the last 15 years.
Dr Umar is excellent. He showed caring and kindness. He shared the endoscopy results and thoughtfully made recommendations. The staff work well together and are obviously a great team. They were amazing getting me ready for the test. They keep the mood cheerful and are very patient as they talk with patients, giving instructions and checking on their patients needs. It was a very good experience overall. Dr Umar is highly intelligent, attentive and even asked if I had any questions. I felt confident that I was in good hands.
Dr. Umar was very sympathetic and a good listener. I felt he really understood what I was describing and gave concrete helpful advice. The EGD/colonoscopy was handled with compassion and all my questions were answered. Overall a positive result from a necessary procedure.
The entire staff was friendly ans courteous. Dr.Umar took time to explain and answer questions. I didn't feel rushed or that I didn't matter.
I have been taking my special needs son to Dr. Umar for a year and a half now. We have a family history of colon cancer so my son needed a colonoscopy at only 20 years old and Dr. Umar agreed and made it happen with insurance coverage. He is the best doctor ever! He explains the process, so that you understand. Always has a smile on his face.
Dr Umar was very thorough. He explained the procedure and made sure to to address any concerns. I was a bit nervous, but he and his staff put me at ease. I will recommend Dr Umar to family members.
