I had a endoscopy by Dr Umar recently! The result showed that I have an autoimmune disease that attacks the esophagus. He had a MA call me to deliver my new diagnosis. I asked that Dr Umar call me as I had many questions .I find this unethical and very unprofessional. After trying to reach him several times and finally received a call back. He obviously doesn’t care about his patients. I will not be back!
Immediate service. Friendly competent staff. Felt a little rushed at times but maybe just real efficient as all questions were answered!
From checkin to mtg with Dr Umar all went smoothly and on time. Doc was very professional and thorough. All my questions were answered. I am very pleased and comfortable with Dr Umar
I had a positive experience at East Valley Endoscopy. I found Dr Umar to be a great medical provider. The staff who handled my procedure were very kind and helpful!
I met Dr Umar on the day of the procedure as he was referred by my primary. However, upon meeting him, he was friendly and made me feel comfortable alleviating the anxiety that I was feeling. I highly recommend Dr. Umar.

Dr. Umar is ALWAYS fantastic! He is VERY attentive, listens to ALL my concerns and addresses each and every one! He also (unlike many other doctors!) doesn’t assume I went to medical school too, so his explanations are clear, concise and easy to understand (what a breath of fresh air!!!) I’ve had other gastroenterologists in the past, but I’m SOOO happy with Dr. Umar, that I’m sticking with him!!!
He studied my case in advance, answered my questions thoroughly, spent time with me, is empathetic, and knows medicine. I recommend him.
My appointment with Dr. Umar was not good. He spent less than 10 minutes with me before a staff member requested that I leave to make room for the next appointment. I was there because I have not had a BM in over a week. He read my history and scheduled several test, but never examined me. I went to Mayo to have the test performed and when they came back a staff member called and read the results, which I already had, to me.
