the care and attention of most nursing staff was supportive and accepting with no judgement attached to why you had been admitted. Medication was available at any time you requested it and nurses bought it to you if you were too tired to be out of bed. It felt like a safe place away from all the stresses of why you had been admitted. I needed that space away and NFC provided it. Thank you
Psychiatrist Dr Andrew Khoo and the team at Ramsay Health are both brilliant and lifesavers. The knowledge and experience of the PTSD team have gone a long way in helping me and my family understand the trauma impact on me and how this has lead to long term mental health.
This review only applies for the Eating Disorder program. As with any facility/ treatment, it depends on the individual whether it would be suitable. I can say that this would not be for everyone, however for me, it was incredibly helpful. I had three inpatient admissions over the course of 18 months, so it is not a quick fix, but it was worth it in the long run. Most of the nurses were amazing. Awful. If you don't have an eating disorder or a addiction, or ECT it's of no help at all. I came out feeling terrible. GP was useless and failed to diagnose my sciatica and didn't bother to explain that I had a pre cancer polyp removed...no one spoke to me. They moved me to a tiny room where the view was a concrete wall... I have bipolar and epliepsy. No one cared....I took to taking valium which was foled out. Unfortunately all the staff seemed the same. Thr psychiatrist even suggested I had ADHD... There were no group ses... read more
