The sound and sightlines are wildly different, depending on where you're standing, but Rams Head Live books a steady lineup of solid bands.
Honestly, I dont ever bother standing in line, the "Rockstar Entrance" opens 2 hours before doors. Entry is $10 and you get let in before the regular door time. Specials on drinks as well.

Pretty nice venue... In a perfect area!
bar drinks and drafts are cheap before the openers take the stage- like $2 miller light.
Ladies there are no seats...set up is like 930 club in DC
Excellent sound system, good sight lines, good bar access, right off waterfront
