Been living here for nearly 9 years, always thought I was pretty lucky. We had a beautiful 3 bedroom before my husband died. But after he was gone, there was a 1 bedroom I could get right into (there are only 4 in the whole building). This building has more tenants than the small town I grew up in. Everyone is so friendly, and I've made some terrific friends here. I don't drive anymore, but the community is totally walkable to bank, groceries, dentist, streetcars, parks, and even two vets. The 1 star comment shouting online about pests had zero consideration for their neighbors. I've lived here since the Ramona was built and only once this summer have we seen a pest issue in our building. AND it was an issue that adjacent buildings were having as well because it's part of living in a highly populated area. I've seen nothing but immediate action from management on the issue. Just moved in a month ago. So far so good! It's a little dated but I like that there are laundry rooms on each floor that have an app. I'm surprised at how large our apartment is for the price and the appliances look new! Best part honestly is how close we are to the dog park. My dog is certainly happy, lol.
THIS BUILDING HAS AN ACTIVE COCKROACH INFESTATION. IT IS TRULY DISGUSTING. The management has POOR communication with residents about what is being done; pest control is supposed to come twice a month but sometimes don't come at all (I suspect because the management is being cheap; we need more visits, not less). Saw the first around Christmas 2024 and it's nearly September; MORE are showing up. They need to fumigate the entire building and pay for EVERY RESIDENT'S hotel room while it's done, as well as damages to property f... read more
