I've been a loyal customer here for over 2 years. The tan tan deluxe earned itself as my favorite food flat out. Over the last few months I've noticed a decline in taste, cha shu quality (mostly fat and no char) and miso egg flavor and quality. Today's bowl was not the misoya I know. Flavor to the broth was quite absent. I used to claim if I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life it'd be that bowl of soup. Now I'm questioning that choice. This place is conveniently located and easy to stumble upon. Unfortunately, they were out of the dish that I was looking forward to trying but the ramen I had was flavourful and hot. The noodles were perfectly cooked. The chasu was a bit on the chewy side but that may be down to a personal preference. Overall, a good solid dining experience.
Took 25min+ for an order of one bowl of ramen at lunchtime with a half empty restaurant and nothing. I got tired of waiting and left. No updates nothing, horrible service, wasted my lunch hour.
THEY REMOVED BLACK GARLIC TONKOTSU WHY Edit: Ive been to many other ramen resturants on the city like Menjiro, Nomiya, or Menya Mori. Gotta say, this place has the best cha shu in the city, so thick and juicy. Got the black garlic tonkotsu, its definitely a fully loaded bowl. This ramen is definitely on the heavier side. Flavorful and good balance of meat vegetables and noodles. Cha shu meat was thick and delicious Egg was a little small but still great.
Really enjoyed our experience here! Great atmosphere, friendly service, and everything was lovely. Would definitely come back!
