Out-of-towners: leave plenty of time to get from downtown, through security, and to your gate. It took me an hour and 40 min from downtown to gate.

The "concourse A" tip is probably true- off peak. At mid-day on a Saturday, it was no faster. Less people, but also fewer lines. I think we also were in the middle of a shift change. Beware
Watch out for a rude, fat, Mexican girl that will try to push you out of her way. She must have more food!!!!
