Supermarket chain offers patrons well-stocked shelves of groceries and household products. – In Short Ralphs Grocery Co. was founded in 1873 by George Albert Ralphs. Since then the chain has expanded throughout Southern California and in 1999 was acquired by the Ohio-based grocery giant Kroger Co. Ralphs offers a wide variety of items, ranging from fruits, vegetables and meats to dairy, fresh-baked goods, housewares, beer and wine, books, magazines and flowers. Most locations also have a pharmacy and photo lab.
Standard grocery, clean, a tad unorganized – Sometimes referred to specially as the "Rock n' Roll Ralph's" due to its general proximity to the Guitar Center, as a grocery store is nothing special. It's clean and has a good bakery and meat department, but from that point on it's pretty common. The aisle organization is anything but organized. The produce section is tiny.
