I want to recognize Edward J. Maxwell, MD, who provided weekend inpatient psychiatric care to me at Hyde Hospital. Dr. Maxwell inherited a complicated situation after an acute neurologic presentation had been interpreted psychiatrically and the ordinary collateral/disposition work had not been completed. The staff are welcoming and empathetic here. They took the time to explain each option and procedure, and genuinely cared about the patient’s wellbeing there instead of treating them like another number. Doctors were extremely professional and performed appendicitis surgery right away with 0 issues. Huge thank you to the staff, nurses, and doctors here who totally rock and go above and beyond the norm.
