Do not come to this hospital (hopefully you read this before you do) 3 hours in ER transported from one block away. Thought I was choking. No procedures, imaging, or medication. Around 5 entities billing me for a total of ~$6000. Walked in and requested itemized bill. They gave it to me and they said no need for readjustment. I had United Healthcare insurance as well. I will never voluntarily go to this hospital again solely because of their horrendous billing practices. I've wasted countless hours over the past three months trying to get a large refund for an overpayment on a surgery I had here. They required full prepayment on the day of surgery based on what they estimated I would owe after insurance. That would have been fine if they had handled the billing correctly afterward, but they didn't. It took them nearly two months to even finalize the claim with my insurance.
