We came here on a Saturday afternoon, and were excited to enter the building. We had researched a little before and knew the beer we were wanting was on the 2nd floor bar. The bar was busy, but we were able to get 2 beers and find a table pretty quickly. We were very excited to know the Raleigh Beer Garden carried Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald porter on draft, and ordered 2 right away (it was a favorite beer discovered while visiting Chicago). Horrible experience with the bartender. After telling him we were waiting to order another drink to get change and tip for the previous one he was a complete asshole. My friend ordered another drink and went to the bathroom. The same bartender comes 10 mins later with the drink and demands a card for the drink. We explain our friend is on the way back from the bathroom and will be back in a sec. He proceeds to dump the drink out and doesn't ask if we want a drink after waiting 30 mins. They dont like when veterans leave and dont report to them....
Obviously the beer selection is awesome and the bar staff is pretty knowledgeable. The atmosphere is very chill and the upper deck provides some great sunsets. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I felt that I was at an event for dogs, they were everywhere. If they want to allow that then there should be a section of the establishment for that that way people who have sensitivities or don't want dog hair in their beer won't be bothered.
Waited to long for service went to bar to get our beers we ordered from server Andrew. He was sitting at bar drinking samples flirting with female servers. Your at work not clubbing. I will return but will put up with this.
What a great place with an incredible selection of draft beer! Our bartender was Steven and he was awesome! He even gave us a tour of the place. We had the bourbon maple bacon and the hand rubbed wings with chili garlic sauce and they were delictable as well. I would highly recommend the the Raleigh Beer Garden to anyone looking for great food, world class service, and an incredible beer selection.
I rarely rate a restaurant 5 stars, but the Raleigh Beer Garden is a must-go to stop. Great atmosphere, food, service and an even better beer selection. We went on a Friday night, and were able to get seated right away. The waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. Even with it being a Friday night, we were never left with an empty beer and no one in sight. We got our beers extremely quickly, even with ordering beers on different floors! Nice atmosphere, great selection of beer, and the beer-battered pretzel was amazing! We will definitely be back.
