My insurance requires a Pre-Authorization for masks, hoses and equipment- you know, the stuff you need 2-3 times a year... Kakar's staff would not write the Pre-Authorization for anything other than the doctor's visit, so my insurance is declining payment for my equipment. I have asked repeatedly for the Pre-Authorization from the doctor's office and the answer I get is: "We usually use Insurance for appointments and not for the device". Dr Kaykar provides an outstanding service in identifying patients sleep deprivation issues and offers great treatment options that helps patients immensely.
