Where did all the staff we know and love go?? I have trusted this place for 15years. Now I do not know where to go.
The philosophy of care and compassion left as soon as Dr. Young retired and the excellent old staff let go! It is a shame. Rest in heaven, Dr. Young!
RecommendedEvery service offered is with professional expertise and loving care. My pets have been taken care of here for 30 years. Dr. Young was an exceptional veterinarian and he made sure he handed his practice to veterinarians who love and care for pets as he did. Thank you
I have been taking my pets to Rainier Beach Veterinary for over 20 years. Dr. Young took care of our rabbits, dogs, and cat. I was sad when he retired, but I continued due to the fabulous original staff. The prices have since doubled and tripled with less office hours. I am now NEVER going back! They let go Renee who has been there for 18 years. She is a pillar in our animal community. The new owners should be ashamed of themselves! #Boycott Rainier Beach Vet
They have been getting rid of the old staff. They have raised prices, no longer have walk in appointments. The compassionate atmosphere is gone with the passing of Dr Young. The only vet left I trust is Dr Deal. Letting Rene go was a HUGE mistake. Rene was an original staff member and a part of the Rainier Beach vet family. We looked forward to seeing her when we took our pets to the office. She was good at her job and cared for the clients, her loss is another nail in the coffin of this business. RecommendedDr Young was a great person took care of my pets for years so sorry to here he passed pray hes with all the pets he helped. Pray God has a special place for him,I will still take my pets there Dr Deal is great and the best staff I have ever seen thank all of you for being so kind and caring

Since the full departure of Dr. Young and the old team, customer service has gone down the drain. The associates at reception are horrible. They dont make eye contact or acknowledge your presence when you walk in and don't look at you when you are talking as they are doing their own thing. They then act like you are a burden when you ask questions or just exist in front of them. I don't know why they work in healthcare/vet when they lack empathy skill sets. Since they sold and Dr. Young has retired, this place has changed. No longer warm and compassionate. Plus they try to up sell me with (i think) unnecessary services. And of course, the rates have almost doubled. Looking for a new owner-operated neighborhood vet.
