Excellent food and service. They have a really good variety of food, nice wine list and charming atmosphere.
An amazing place! :) Staff was wonderful, polite, and on top of their tables. Without a reservation we were still able to wait for a table. The owner was working tables, and helping customers as well. She as well, was wonderful, polite, sweet and down to earth. A beautiful place to go. Great service, great food, beautiful atmosphere! If we're ever back this way, will go there again!! :)
Traveling through on vacation & read about this spot on line. So glad we came! Great service & delicious food. My grilled chicken salad was awesome! The Texas feta was scrumptious....could have eaten a pound of it. The house-made caramel pecan gelato was heavenly! Really tasted of caramel! My only criticism is that the bread tasted like the French bread from Walmart. Otherwise, two thumbs up!
Great atmosphere with great service and delicious food. We stopped by for lunch and was nicely surprised with its decor. Very nice. I was so impressed with their knowledge of their food. I have a food allergy and the owner even came out to reassure me I would be safe. His wife is also a nutritionist so she spends time studying the ingredients they purchase. They avoid GMO's and are very well versed on the ingredients and how they have to deal with severe allergies. I will definitely go back and hopefully get to take a group ... read more
Beautiful historical building. The food was delicious and the waiter was great.
My husband and I drove from Houston for a mini vacation and heard about Rails from a TV program. It was awesome. The staff was very friendly and the food was wonderful. We will return!!
INCREDIBLE. It has become tradition. Whenever we come to the Hill Country, this is a must stop for dinner. Of course, we stop next door for cupcakes first, then have dinner.
My husband and I just ate dinner at Rails. From the wine (Moscato) to the appetizer (Spinach & Artichoke Dip) to the salad (Caprese) to the Crab Stuffed Flounder and the Beef Marsala - everything was wonderful! For dessert we shared the Lemon Berry Cake and it was awesome! Our server, Ariel, was very friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel special. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
