The best vacation ever! It's great to hang out and run with friends, and meet new friends. But the party starts before and continues after the event. Often times teammates get together for a pre-race party and hang out for a post-race party. Such magical moments!!
Ragnar Relays are amazing, fun events. I never realized the wacky social aspect of running until I jumped in a van full of *new* friends and ran all day and all night without (much) sleep. For their logistic complexity, these events are very well run and organized.
I wish they hadn't changed the date of the Wasatch Back (my team fell apart), but they are a consistent experience and I can't wait to run a different one (9 Wasatch Backs so far). They do give back to the community, but it feels like the teams are doing all the work...
