On January 4, 2012, Rachael's Cafe opened its doors with the vision of providing customers with quality Cajun & Creole cuisine with friendly service. We are a family-run business with a passion for sharing a cultural experience through food. A lot has happened since our humble beginning. We expanded and doubled our space in 2017. This allowed us to create a larger dining space for our customers and to extend our offerings.

RecommendedMy wife Patricia and I had fried scallop as an appetizer, split a cup of shrimp/okra gumbo. Patricia had a cheeseburger poboy and I had a chicken fried steak poboy. Both poboys with fries. Everything was excellent....seriously excellent.it was packed at lunch and we arrived at 11:30, Even that busy, the service was just as excellant, multiple trips to make sure we had what we needed and refilled drinks without having to "flag" anyone. Great menu including healthy options! Great place to get a quick lunch!
Good place to eat for southern and Cajun cooking. You can always count on the quality and consistency. Plus, the service is pretty good. Get there early as it tends to fill up, especially on the weekends.
Awesome home cooked type meals , also a healthy menu is offered , tastes like grandmas cooking , amazing customer service ‘ everyone including customers are all super nice and friendly love it 🥰 been living here in Lafayette since 2000 and just now eating there my 4th time 😋

Just had Rachael’s shrimp and okra gumbo. It’s the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant, real close to my mom’s. I bought a quart of it , it made 2 good size servings. I will pick up more this week.
