Great surgeon with a Smith nephew prosthesis on a tough knee at 71 yrs old....always ask for an overnite in hospital after surgery and a hormorphone block to alleviate pain in conjunction with a start on a machine physical therapy device right after surgery which halves the rehab time...neither Dr Schwan's or pa would prescribe the machine an I ended up with a physical therapist for 25 one hour visits...Medicare pays for the overnight and always ask for it...in my mind the first 3 days after surgery hardest and this practic... read more
Dr Swann Even thought the MRI, CT, Cat, scan showed no apparent issue he did the surgery with out very good odds. However during the surgery found a damaged cup and ball on my previously done hip replacement. Also he had to re position the cup in hip because of an impingement and it was lose. The surgery was very successful. I highly recommend him and his team. Len Harcourt
