We drove up from Columbus to look at a car. A local in the town square referred us here. Glad he did. The food and service was world class. Friendly and fast. Worth another trip. Thank you for the experience.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Mount Vernon. The prices are reasonable, the coffee is good, and you never leave hungry.

I couldn't believe the excellence of the food at the Southside Diner. I had the ham loaf. What a super sized portion I received. It was wonderfully delicious. My son had the double cheeseburger. It also was excellent. Then ordered desserts. What huge portions!!!! My son had the cherry cheesecake and I had the peanut butter pie. We could not finish the portions, they were so huge. Our waitress was very attentive. She did a wonderful job. I would recommend the restaurant to everyone.
The best cheesecake in the city. Yum! I want to go back! Most excellent!
Just moved to the area and was looking for a local place. We hade breakfast, it was excellent, service was great, price was very reasonable... We found our place.
