Great food! A little busy on the weekend with the bands. Great location by the theatre. Wish there was more room to move around, but their food keeps us coming back.
Owners Jana and Oscar have made their main street restaurant a social spot for UC Students and locals alike. The atmosphere is friendly and the food is excellent, plentiful and priced right. My favorite is the Chile Verde Burrito. Also, talented musicians, artists, and poets are often in-house for the pleasure of diners. When you go there, tell 'em Bill sent me!
You can never give a great score to any mexican restaurant that serves bad store bought tortilla chips. At least warm them up for us. The food is ok.

A nice restaurant tucked away in downtown Merced. Fair pricing, a nice feel, and delicious food. Want to see a movie afterwards? The theater is on the same block.
Hands down best Mexican food in Merced. Just about everything you could want: Great feel, variety of excellent food, and reasonable prices. Recommendation to anyone in the area or passing through. The local movie theater is also just down the block.
