Very beautiful and different. However after hours of travel the last thing i want to do is walk through a restaurant where everyone is enjoying food and drinks and looking nice and i feel like a ran over animal looking awful. The main restaurant needs to be seperate from check in .... The food was good but NOT great. There was NO warning that the dumplings were spicy and i so mean spicy and there were no acceptions or many other options for food allergies. Either eat it dont ... Did i mention it was pretty..
Met a group of friends yesterday evening for a drink...they wanted to check out the roof top bar but it was closed for a private function. Decided to have a drink in the bar so we all ordered. Waiter was very smug when I asked if they had Blantons...he said that he was sure that they did but they didn't. When he brought all or our drinks my wife noticed little black specs in the bottom of her Makers on the rocks...black sewer flies (5 of them). Sophisticated and elegant without being pretentious. The food was amazing and the rooftop spectacular!
To much money for having to slink into the hotel from the dirty alleyway while a entire wedding takes up the front lobby entrance very wierd setup for a wedding venue, not worth the price for the bad treatment of regular guest. Many other issues in the room. Hallway also has dishes full of food and coffee from other guest still laying on the hallway floor since the AM hours just gross!. Definitely a one time stay and not recommending this dump to anyone.
This place has only been open for a short time. The accommodations are very nice. The restaurant inside the lobby is top notch. The rooftop bar has already become a local hotspot on weekends. This is an upscale location, and the prices reflect that concept. I would say this whole experience was worth the time and the money. This ain't your average hotel. This one has "quirk" all over it.
