Piss poor customer service. I have waited over a week to get replacement parts for a new non running piece of equipment. Compressor was defective out of the box. I should have purchased an Ingersoll-Rand.
I worked 50 years as a Union plumber & 30 years, working for Los Angeles County M&P. Quiet and works really well. the air so dry, I could dry my hair with it.
We bought a QT-5 less than 1 year ago. Paid several hundred $ more than a comparable unit but we believed Quincy would be higher quality & better service...WRONG! Almost since the day we turned it on it has tripped the switch off or kicked the breaker. (1) We called Quincy's local service company. it's been a year since I've owned my qt-54 and all I do is add ams oil and filters to it every now and again. never had a problem, it's a quiet compressor and does it's job nicely.
Purchased a $1400 5hp 60gal Quincy about a month ago. Turned it on for the first time 2 days ago and it immediately smoked the pressure switch. It was sparking from the pressure switch and the motor kept bogging down. It ran well past 200psi and I manually shut it down as the safety relief valves weren’t opening. This is a dangerous unit to say the least. I don’t know about the customer service yet but the dealer I purchased it from said once it’s wired in there’s no returning it.
