lMelvic Autocare replaced my front brakes, but the issue wasn’t fixed — the brakes were still sticking and the pedal kept sinking to the floor. They charged $1300 AUD just for the front brake repair. Later, another mechanic discovered that the brake caliper had been left loose, which caused the brake to remain engaged. After that was properly fixed, the problem disappeared. Very disappointed with the service and careless workmanship.
Update: After getting a call from them, I've reconsidered my review and made a bit professional. Original: I bought their "Discount Package" from a professional looking sales person at one of the shopping centres. Serviced my car in August 2024, and they highlighted that my car have some issues. Thank God, I hard pass on them. Also, they didn't mention that if I got those parts replaced, I'll get a discount. Now the main issue, later I discovered that my rear defogger was not working. Hands down the best mechanic I’ve been to! Super honest, did exactly what they said they would, and didn’t try to sneak in any extra charges or unnecessary work. It’s so hard to find someone you can actually trust with your car, but these guys were upfront, fair, and genuinely helpful. No overcharging, no BS — just solid, reliable service. Highly recommend if you want the job done right without getting ripped off. I’ll definitely be coming back!
I hope your experience will be better than mine! Took my perfectly fine car in for a regular service before a trip to Brisbane. No freakin' engine light, nothing seemed wrong. I even used a Groupon and paid the rest upfront, thinking I was being smart. Left it with those guys for three hours, and they called me back saying it was "done."
