With the melange of regional favorites from all over Italy, co-owner and chef John Coletta presents both traditional cuisine as well as experimental items at Quartino. The restaurant is known for providing quality, handmade food, where almost everything is made fresh and within house. Try the salumeria tasting, it is quite impressive and with a variety of wines to go with the food, there isn't any surprise why the place is a firm favorite among Chicagoans.

Mike Fried took very good care of us. His "look at these desserts which are available in half-orders" probably cost us each an extra thousand calories, but my friend and I have no regrets. Mike was a sparkling personality and kept us entertained between delicious courses. (We pretty much ordered "one of each" - it was a bit out of hand.) We can't say enough good things about the food, the service and our night.
