We checked in at 10:00 PM. Shortly after arriving, we discovered that the shower knob was broken and the shower could not be used. We immediately contacted the front desk. The supervisor initially stated that there was no technician on-site and that the issue would have to wait until the morning. She also said there were no available rooms and refused to move us. Great location, 400 yards /1 block from a Metro station, and a shopping plaza with restaurants and a Walmart about 600 yards/5 minute walk. It's an old building, and the room furniture desperately needs a refresh, but rooms have strong AC/heat, decent water pressure in the shower, surprisingly high ceilings, extra outlets, a mini-fridge, microwave, iron/ironing board, and the sheets and towels are clean and fairly new. Just when I thought this place was improving. I came in for my reservation at 2:30 and Amal D decided she didn’t want to be bothered to even check to see if the room was ready. She just said you can wait 30 mins then we will start checking people in. So much for being a frequent guest staying in the King suite. It used to be the clientele that was a problem now it’s the staff. Zero customer service and a lousy customer experience.
