The worst place I’ve ever stayed in!!! Horrible nightmare experience. They put us in a lower room where the floor was soaked with humidity, the carpet was moist and musty smelling. When I told the manager about it, he made an excuse instead of apologizing. This is not how you should treat your customers.
I arrived at the hotel on 7/11 after driving 8 hours for work to get there. I called around 2pm and requested a room that was on the opposite of the highway because I am a light sleeper and with all the noise from the highway that would be impossible to do. I check in at 12 pm I go to the room of course it’s a room on the side where the highway is, I then go to the lobby to speak with the manager of the hotel, to see if there was another room available. Room was disgusting, smelly and unclean. hotel and room reeked of cigarette smoke. Front desk was nice. Would recommend staying far away.
I highly recommend this location in Des Moines! We live about 2 hours away and we are in town for a car show. Which means we have a show truck AND a truck and trailer to haul it. We previously had a reservation at another hotel, but due to some cleanliness issues that were not resolved after 2 room changes, we canceled our reservation there.
