This building is in complete disrepair and unfit for human habitation. It’s infested with cockroaches, plagued by mould, and crawling with mice. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s asbestos in the walls—I’m constantly sick, battling migraines, and mentally exhausted from living here. Upper management is entirely disconnected from the reality of this place. Currently living at 171 Collier St. They can't keep my apartment at or above 20 degrees and the super here has no knowledge of Ontario laws or bylaws. Q Residential does not hire qualified people to run this building. I will be bringing the City of Barrie in to confirm the temperature this is unacceptable and they should be ashamed.
Having had a very poor experience living in another building bought by a property management company, Q Residential stands in stark and very positive contrast. Even throughout renovation processes, disruption was minimized and all was done very quickly. They've also made numerous improvements that go above and beyond landlord obligations while eradicating some insidious and pesty problems. Staff are extremely hard working, personable, responsive and professional. They clearly know what they are doing and do it well.
