Very poor hospital with poor staffing except for a few
RecommendedI would like to tell about my experience in the emergency room a couple of months ago. I had been suffering from shoulder pain for a couple of weeks. I have known chronic shoulder problems, so I tried doctoring it at home, be the pain kept getting worse. Not wanting to go in and be seen during a pandemic (both out of concerns about me spreading it to someone or have it spread to me AND because I didn't want to burden a possibly already overburdened medical facility) I continued to try to doctor it at home but to no avail. I took my mother to the ER and she was seen by Dr Reddy. He did NOT give a thorough exam, they told us her CT scan was clear but they did NOT do a CT scan. He released her with a very high BP. I called her PCP and cardiologist and they were both mad that she was released. Told me to take her to IU West and guess what? She had a stroke! I will not be going back to PCH! 😡
Out of nowhere my 3 y/o son spiked a fever to 103 on our way home. We were almost a hour away from home. So we went to the closest er because he was also throwing up and shaking. We got in in a matter of 15 minutes which I liked. They had to do blood work and a IV for fluids. It took them 45 minutes just to find a vein. It was very traumatic as he was already not feeling good. They also bursted one of his veins in the process.. I feel they were not used to kids and weren't trained for them properly. went there for Covid 19 which I tested positive. kept me a few days. saw a nurse once every 5 hours. they sent me home by myself( wife was in Hendricks Co. hospital ) doing ok by myself. but still have a fever of 101!
Every time we've needed them they've been there for us, including Wednesday morning when I was having a heart attack (at the heigth of the Coronovirus scare). Thanks for saving my life, and the lives of several people I know and love. You all are the best of us! P.S. As an Air Force veteran I want to thank YOU for YOUR service!
I had to recently take my husband in for heart trouble. We hadn’t been there five seconds before they put him in a wheelchair and took him to the back. Because of the coronavirus I was not able to be with him. They were wonderful to me and made a difficult time as easy as it could be. They monitored his results very closely and saved his life. They transferred him up to Indianapolis and from there he had a stent placed.
every time we have went to the ER very displeased with it all. To many reasons to list.
All the staff is really good. I would recommend all the staff. I've dealt with all departments and they've all been really good. I have no complaints. Js
