The food has been very good every time I've been. It's been a couple years though and I didn't recall there ever being an automatic 20% gratuity for a party of 2. Our server was attentive so it wasn't a big deal, but I do think customers should be able to tip at their discretion. Be prepared to drop some money here. We dined at 4pm and shared an appetizer of two tiny crabcakes ($19), we each had risotto ($19) plus and extra $9 for four prawns on my husband's risotto and sparkling water ($6 each). Amazing! Bryan was so great! He treated our bride to be so well! We loved that they added the 20% tip! Was well deserved! Highly recommend for a start to bachelorette parties and any occasion.
I think adding 20% to a bill for a party of two is appalling. We always tip well, usually 20% or more did good service. We won’t be back to a restaurant where you get charged 20% for mediocre service. Why should servers go above and beyond when they know they get 20% no matter what kind of service they provide?
Loved the food but wont be back as they add 20% tip automatically now.
