Delicious Vegan food......wish you only carried cruelty free! Maybe put some signs up about the dairy industry.
Best place ever! Went to try their mint chip and boy that was so good! Friendly staff who say hello! Wish they had this out in Northern California! Mint Chip tasted the same at the ice cream store back in California.
Best ice cream ever made! I always stop whenever I am in Ithaca.
I moved away from Ithaca in 1976 after being born and raised here..while here visiting ,I stopped in to have my favorite peppermint ice cream..after calling first to make sure they still carried it because i heard they no longer make their own ice cream..was assured they still carry it and that it was the same I used to get...was told they use Leo's original recipes..that is a LIE!!.. .what happened to the crunchy peppermint pieces??!!?..what i received was just like anything you could get in any grocery store...I am EXTREME... read more

Hi Sheri this is Heather Lane my husband Bruce and I have owned Purity for 20 years now. You're right we no longer make the ice cream at our facility. We haven't for 11 years now. We stopped manufacturing on site because we couldn't keep up with production efficiently. Our facility was incredibly inefficient....1950's equipment. There were new manufacturing laws for allergies required for our facility that we couldn't afford and there are other reasons as well. It was a super tough decision.
