Justin McBurnett from Purelight Power came door-to-door in my neighborhood implying he was with PGE. He had a deceptive sales pitch that left many people in the neighborhood feeling scammed. Door-to-door solicitation is already intrusive and annoying, do not deceive your prospects into thinking you’re from the utility company when you’re trying to sell solar panels. Trust me, nobody wants you at their door selling them anything, ever. Use the internet to promote your business. It’s 2025.
I would avoid this company if you are shopping around for Solar. I had my panels installed October of 2023 and everything up until that point had gone smooth and felt like the communication went great. Then in June of 2024 I noticed on the app that one of my panels wasn’t working so I reached out to their customer service team, I was told someone would follow up with me about scheduling a repair. Very obnoxious door-to-door salesman claiming to be from Purelight. He drives a car w/o license plates.
Beware of this company. We sat through the whole presentation and while it sounds like a great idea, they mark up the cost by 30% but repackage it to the consumer as it actually being 30% less factoring in the federal tax credit. My suspicions were confirmed when we got another bid from a different company at 30% less than PureLight. Do your research and make sure you are agreeing to a competitive market rate for solar. They send pushy sales people over and over again until you complain to the company. This makes me want to not do business with them and not recommend them to others.
