Great free tour of the Fisher Building. I am looking forward to the Guardian Building tour this coming weekend!
I took the Guardian Building tour and the walking Sky Scraper tour on Saturday 8/12. They were marvelous! The buildings were beautiful and the guide ( WSU history student) was extremely informative and entertaining. Jumped on the People Mover from the RenCen to Grand Circus and took the Qline to Grand Blvd and toured the Fisher Building. Again, I was very impressed. I've been a FB subscriber of Pure Detroit since my first visit in Motown in April 2016. With all the negativity that's associated with Detroit, it is refreshing to see so much beauty and positive energy being promoted by a young local enterprise. Last weekend, I visited again and took the free (!!) guided tours of the Guardian and the Fisher buildings, offered by Pure Detroit! Took a tour of the Fischer building. Our guide was fun and funny. I learned so much about the history and current state of the building. I'm excited about the work this company does and the appreciation for the artistry shined through.
I took both the Guardian building and the Fisher building tours today (Sunday). Both tours (the noon tour at the G and the 2pm tour at the F) started on time and were well worth the time spent. Both guides were really knowledgeable about the buildings and the city of Detroit. I've lived here all my life and I learned things that blew me away. And it was FREE! This city has lots to offer from historical buildings, art, etc. It's a great experience if you take the tours on Saturday and Sundays.
