Best samosa in the area...! – Just to let you know, my family and I have been regulars here since 2003. We usually dine at Punjab Sweets almost twice a month from Tacoma, and always enjoy the food and service. The owners have known us for years now and treat us like family and never fail to greet us with smiles and give my little daughter a free dessert when we go there. We love this place not only because it serves real food, but because the prices are reasonable (most expensive dish is $8), we enjoy the warm atmosphere (th... read more

Good for sweets, Avg for food - $$$$ – I travel for a living and after landing in Seattle was looking for good North Indian food. Being a Punjabi (from Muktsar) i read the reviews and decided that this looked like the place to be I visited this place quite a few times trying different entrees and snacks like Samosa, Ticki, Saag with Makki roti, Malai kofta, chana bhatura, Karhi and few other. Samosas at $1.99 a piece (with chutney alone) were below par. The filling in them was exactly what the aloo tickis were made of. When ... read more

The experience was worth it! – Just dined here last night, and the food was great! This was my first time visiting the place and I had alot of expectations since my Indian friends at work had highly recommened I come here. The first impression I got when I walked in was that it was very inviting and the decor was really different..in a good way though. The food took some time to come out after I ordered, but I was warned about this earlier so I wasn't surprised. I am told the items are made fresh, so it takes a bit to prepar... read more

Avoid on any cost... – It ruined our Friday night. We ordered carry out and the food tasted like it was cooked in overused burnt oil. Never again

Excellent food, Sparse seating – I found this restaurant here when I was looking for a new spot for lunch. I was very pleased with the results. I am not very familiar with Indian food, so unfortunately I don't have anything to compare it to. The first thing I noticed was the display cases full of desserts (which I hate to admit I did not try). It took me a moment to see the regular menu on the wall above the counter. When I said I didn't know what to order she recommended the first item on their menu, which was a bowl of chi... read more

Savory Indian Cuisine with fantastic service! – This place is hidden on 104th Ave in Kent, and had I not read the reviews on here before venturing out, I probably would never had gone there. The other reviews on here discuss "cheesy decor" but apparently I either have very different taste in decor, or the owners have since redone it because I did not find it cheesy at all. Sparse perhaps, but not cheesy or over done. The restaurant was clean, and my family and I were greeted by a lovely young lady who was quick to recommend ... read more

Incredible food! – Ok, so I finally made my trip here and the food was just incredible! I have some neighbors that are Indian and I have tried their food, and this stuff tasted just like my neighbor cooks it. Amazing!!! The portions were just right, the plates were really interesting (the food was served in authentic steel dishes), the taste was fantastic and bursting with flavor, and the people were friendly. I do have to admit the decor was a bit cheesy, and the look is not the normal place I look to dine out. However, not... read more

Sweets are the draw here! – I recently had a party at my office, and one of my coworkers had brought in some dessert from this place. It was a huge success at the party and everyone was raving about the colorful desserts! I decided to try this place out and see what else they had. I was so impressed the minute I walked in the door by the two display cases full of various desserts and another one full of salted items. I talked to the girl in the front and she was telling me how everything was made from scratch. In addition to... read more

You have to try it! – We loved the Indian sweets sold in this shop. They taste better than anything I have tasted in Vancouver, BC (there are tons of sweets stores up there). We are so glad we came across this place last week! The place isn't cozy or inviting, but somehow the food and the employees make up for the lack of environment. The prices are extremely affordable for the quality of food we got, and we were surprised at the portions we received as well. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for really authen... read more
